GUESS the MATERIAL CHALLENGE - Give-A-Way!!!

Good Morning all-

It's Thursday and I thought that I would do a CHALLENGE today and give a great prize for the person who gets the answer right. Okay...here's how we are going to do this.

I am uploading a card that I created. On that card, I used an "unconvetional" item as part of the embellishment. What you would need to do is NAME THAT ITEM I USED and WHERE ON THE CARD I USED IT. You are ONLY allowed to give one answer. You have until 10:59pm EST tonight to post your answer in the COMMENT SECTION of this post. I will then take all the poeple who answered CORRECTLY, and then a GRAND PRIZE winner from the CORRECT ANSWERS will then be selected. I hope that make sense. The winner will be announced FRIDAY MORNING on my blog....so you will have to come back to see if you won!
Now...I guess you are wondering what the give awaw is......DRUM ROLL PLEASE...........................................................................................................................................................

The Prize is a TIM HOLTZ DESIGN RULER. This ruler is great b/c it is a clear measuring stick with a straight edge and grid for drawing lines and measuring lengths, a metal strip for cutting, and evenly spaced holes for piercing.
Well....good luck. Remember ONLY ONE ANSWER PER PERSON. You can make as many comments about the card as you like....but only ONE answer per person. Just say, MY ANSWER FOR THE CHALLENGE IS________________________. THE________ was used on the card here....and name that area.

Thanks for stopping by and good luck!!!

  1. racking my brain but I dont see anything unconventional that could have been used unless you used a different kind of cardboard like a cereal box that you used to punch the scalloped hole piece with.

  5. MY ANSWER FOR THE CHALLENGE IS SANDPAPER

THE Sandpaper was used on the card as a background element -- the one punched with the Fiskars punch. :-)

This was fun even if I didn't win. :-)

Lori from Canadian Cuttlebug Crew here! The brown piece with the holes behind your image, I believe is Cork! I would really love to win that Tim Holtz design ruler. I saw a video on it a couple of days ago and it is fabulous! Thanks for the chance and I love your card! Hugs Lori Reinholz

  10. My guess is sandpaper. You used it down the right side of the card and use a scallop edge punch (Threading Water, I think). It's a very pretty look. I'll have to try it.

  30. MY ANSWER FOR THE CHALLENGE IS some kind of material, but cannot be sure what kind. THE Material was used on the card as the matting for the card and it kind of looks like it is used where you stamped the sentiment.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I agree that the brown "looks" like sandppaer or cork BUT, that is NOT my answer. I think it is a piece of ripped thin cardboard, like from a cereal box or tissue box and you used for the paper the sentiment is stamped on. I hope I'm right. I would love to win that ruler Hugs

  38. I may be way off here, but my thought is that the sentiment is stamped on a piece of metal, such as the inside of a coke can.
