I WON a HeroArts Give-Away Today - HEY!...that rhymes...

Hello all-

Today has been a GREAT day for me.

To start off, today, my son Jackson had his 5th grade assembly and they put on a little play and he said his part soooo well. The teacher worked so hard on getting all the students to say their lines and it flowed excellently!!!! I was so proud of Jack.

My 2nd good news is this. As you all know, I submit cards into HeroArts weekly challenges and so far I have not won. Part of their blog, they have a section where they show and discuss that weeks challenge and they usually ask for the visitors to leave comments After the comments are left, they do a random drawing thru Random.org and certain numbers are picked and that is how the winner for that particuliar Give-A-Way is choosen. Well, I left a comment, I was comment and the Give-A-Way was for a set of Clear Stamps. When I checked my email after returning from my son's assembly, I see an emailed entitled HERO ARTS BLOG WINNER. I clicked it, not thinking anything and GUESS WHAT??.........I won the Clear Stamp Give-A-Way!!! My name is up there, on the blog, as clear as day - KIMBERLEY JACKSON-BROWN....

I have attached the link so that you can view it as well as the comment that I left.

I am just so happy and tickled pink that I won!!!! I just had to share. As soon as I get the stamps, I will upload them and the creation that I make with them...

Thanks for stopping by...as well as listen to me ramble on....LOL!!!

Change is HERE!!!!

Hello all-

This week has been such an amazing one! Our NEW President Barak Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the USA!! I watched this life changing, history making event on TV. I was glued to it as I sat in awe of what was about to happen. I was so emotional and had a loss for words. My grandmother is 95 and she and I talked about what she thought of this amazing event and she said she never thought that she would witness an African American as THE President. She said that this was a day that she would never forget. I bought the news papers and plan to make a scrapbook of this event, so that my children can remember.

In any case, I do want to let you all know that my laptop is now in "DELL Heaven". She has died and I am in the process of replacing her. This has been such a challenge for me b/c NOT having a computer shows me just how much I am on it daily. I borrowed my hubby's laptop, but he said he has to put me on a "timer" or he'll never get on it...LOL!

Now, b/c My laoptop is gone, the cards that I made had to be scanned and I do not think that the scanning captures the dimension of a card and all the embellishments...but I am going to post what I created for Valentine's Day. I will replace the scanned photos with the digital camera photos as soon as my laptop is working (fingers crossed - for Friday). I hope you like them and remember, feedback is ALWAYS welcomed and appreciated!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cards W/Pockets

Hello all-

Here are 2 cards that I created that have 2 pockets. I used TAGS in both of the but used them differently. One card I used the tag to create that actual pocket. The 2nd card I used as a decorative embellishement.

Let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by...

LAYERING - I love this look

Hey yall,

How is everything going? It has been a long weekend for me and I am glad to be starting a new week. I typically don't like Mondays, but I am looking forward to tomorrow....

In any case, as you know, I weekly submit cards to the Hero Arts challenge that they have. What I think I am going to do is use what their challenge is, to spur my creative juices and create projects that follow that theme. I plan on uploading my Scrapbook Layouts too, but my scanner is not being cooperative w/me. I have a friend who will be stpping by to help me out w/it, so as soon as it is up and running, I will post.

This week...well, last weeks challenge was LAYERING and here are the cards that I created. Thanks so much for stopping by!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my fellow crafters! This year really flew by ....but I really want to THANK all of you who come by every so often and check out what I have done and leave VERY encouraging comments - THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!

I want to wish all of you, as well as your family and friends, much success this 2009. I wish that you all stay healthy and safe and that you take a time everyday to be grateful for the little things!!!! And most of all, BE CREATIVE - wether that is w/paper and glue, cooking, gardening...whatever...JUST BE CREATIVE!

I have been on a roll since the 1st of January. One of my goals is to create a Scrapbook Layout everyday....just one...and if I continue this throughout the year, I would have 365 LO's completed-that sounds pretty awesome to me. So far I have finished 4 LO's.....YIPPEE!!!!...so I am off to a pretty good start. I plan on scanning them later in the week and posting them to the blog.

I am going to post a few cards that I made for a weekly challenge that I am involved in. This week's challenge (per Hero Arts) was to create "Thank You" cards that you would send in reply to a gift you received. So, the jist was for it to have a hint of Christmas w/out it saying it Merry Christmas.

Here are the 5 that I came up with.....fingers crossed....wish me luck!

Thanks for stoppin' by
