Create one of these THINKING of YOU cards and bring a smile to someones face!

Enjoy Every Moment

Hello All...
As you all know, this is SENTIMENT Week. I am continuing to focus on the words and what I say in my cards just as much as the style and look. I am excited to show you this card today because I made if for someone so that they could give it to a friend who hit their 5 year mark of being Cancer Free. She gave me the colors and told me that she wanted it to be simple in it's design, but bold with style of card. She also requested a sentiment that was heartfelt but straight to the point. This is what I came up with and let me tell you, she was very please.

I hope you like the card. Focusing on the sentiments on the cards has helped me to remember all the people who I need to send cards to JUST BECAUSE...

I hope that you feel inspired by this cards and the cards for this week. Thanks so much for stopping by!

INTERNET was down...BUT all is well now!

Good morning friends....

I hope that you all had a great weekend, because my was pretty eventful. Not so sure if you noticed, but last post to the blog was Tuesday. My internet was down not one, not two, not threee, but for five days. I was unable to get on and I had to call the cable technitions and they had to take out my internet and then re-install it. Yep! Yep! It was something else to say the least.

But, not that I am up and running, I plan on posting the other Scrapbook Layout and companion cards as well as this weeks theme.

Well, I got lots to do...so let me get started. I do want to say a BIG THANKS to all of you who come by and visit my blog each day. AGAIN, I apologize for the technical difficulties, and hopefully it won't happen again...at least...no time soon! LOL!

Green, Pink, & Orange

Hello all-
Here is a Scrapbook Layout that I created using the colors Green, Pink, & Orange. I also used some rubber stamping in the following areas of the layout: the vertical journaling "There's no one like you" is a rubber stamp from HeroArts. The circles that are stamped on the orange & yellow squares, is also a HeroArts Block Stamp. And lastly, the journaling that is below Logan's name comes from several rubber stamps.

I hope that this layout will inspire you to incorporate some stamping on a layout.
Thanks for stopping by!

Green, Pink, & Orange Card

Here is a card that created that is a companion to the layout. I used the same color scheme as the layout. This card was very easy. I cut orange and yellow strips and adhered them to the base card. Stamped the circl border on white cardstock and then punched out random areas on the border using a circle punch. Adhered them using foam dots. Samped the sentiment, punched out a butterfly and you're ALL DONE!

Thanks for stopping by...again!

FLOWER WEEK - Tuesday's Wildflower

Hello all-
Happy Tuesday and welcome to FLOWER week! This is going to be alot of fun since I know that somewhere in your stash, you have a flower stamp, and if you don't, what a great reason to go shopping for one - (ENABLER ALERT - TeeHee) i have a great card for you, so let's get started.

The flower today is a WILDFLOWER. I am using a HeroArts stamp, and a water technique. Here's what I did to create this look on the flowers. I used MARVY BRUSH MARKERS to color in the flower and then the stem. I spritz the inked image using Ranger's MINI MISTER and them stamped it on white cardstock. It gives a watercolor effect.

I hope you try this technique! Have fun and thanks for stopping by!
Kimba :)

Step 2: 2nd Layer (Orange) measures 2.25 x 4
Step 3: 3rd Layer (White Cardstock w/stamped Flowers) measures 2 x 3.75 - Using MARVY BRUSH MARKERS or any Brush Marker, color in the image. Spritz with water. Stamp the image. Repeat this 3 times and then adhhere this white cardstock to the orange cardstock.
Step 4: Tie 3 bows, using Pink Ribbon and adhere to the stems of the flowers using glue dots. Set this aside
Step 5: Punch out a scallop edge using Pink Cardstock measuring 6'. Adhere to the card.
Step 6: Cut an orange piece of pattern ribbon and adhere to the card.

Boat Card

Hello all-

Here is my card for today. It is a crad that I created in response to a challenge that I am participating in at www.Heroarts.com. Please, if you get a chance, stop on by that website and visit their blog. It is amazing to say the least!

This card was easy to make. I think the longest part of making this card was heat embossing the image. In any case, enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by!

HOW-TO Instructions

Step 1: Base Card measuring 4.25 x 6
Step 2: The 2nd Layer measures 3.75 x 5.75 - Dark Blue
Step 3: Stamp the SWIRLS w/FLOWERS on to the VERSAMARKR ink pad and then onto the Dark Blue Card Stock.
Step 4: Sprinkle WHITE OPAGUE Embossing Powder over the image and then heat set
Step 5: Let it cool. Attach HEROARTS Gemstones to the centers of all the flowers on the stamped image. Attach this to the base card.
Step 6: Tie Ribbon to the card
Step 7: Stamp the BOAT image onto Light Blue cardstock and onto yellow pattern paper. Cut out the boat's sails from the yellow pattern paper and then adhere the sails to the Light Blue boat image using Pop Dots. Now you have a boat w/yellow sails. Cut out the entire boat and adhere it to the card using foam dots.

You Make My World Happy!

Good Morning all,
I hope that you had a great weekend and had an opportunity to get some crafting done. I was able to get a good amount of cards made as well as get some projects started. So, with that being said, I am feeling great! I am off to a good start this week.

I don't have a theme for this week as yet, but I do have a great card that I am proud of that I made. I used quite a bit of different techniques. I stamped an image onto pattern paper (the tag in the card was covered with paper and then I stamped on it). I also distressed the tag before I stamped the image. And one of the last techiques I used was using PrismaColor Coloring Pencils to color in the owls and then using Gamsol (OMS-Odorless Mineral Spirit) to help create shading and dimension.

Well, now that you know what I did, get crackin' to making this card!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Kimba :)

HOW-TO Instructions
Step 1: Base Card measures 5 x 6.5 (white)
Step 2: 2nd Layer measures 4.75 x 6.25 (brown) - attach this to base card
Step 3: Cut a strip of Rust Orange paper measuring .75 x 4.75 - attach this to the brown cardstock
Step 4:Next, get your tag out. Put a good amount of adhesive on the FRONT of the tag. After you have done this, place the tag ADHESIVE SIDE DOWN on the pattern paper. Press down on the tag to make sure the tag is sticking to the paper. Cut around the tag and then using your whole punch, punch the hole out at the top of the tag.
Step 5: Use Tim Holtz's PEELED PAINT Distressing ink to distress the front of the tag. Once you have the desired look you want, using Stampin' Up's Chocolate Chip Ink, stamp the LONG BRANCH image onto the tag. Thread ribbon thru hole, set aside.
Step 6: Stamp out your owls using black ink and color the owls. Add "googlie eyes" to the owls. Set aside
Step 7: Layer Prima Flowers - Green then white and next add button to the center. Set aside
Step 8: Using that same pattern paper and the Peeled Paint Dstressing ink, distress a small section of the paper - this portion of the paper will be used for you to stamp your word sentiment on. After stamping, punch image out
Step 9: Build the card according to picture above. PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE FOAM DOTS behind the Balancing Owls
