It's beginning to look alot like Christmas....
Hello everybody,
Happy Hump today! The month of October is almost done (can you believe it) and soon Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Today's card focuses on the Christmas holiday. This is the time when you are getting those holiday cards ready so that you will be prepared to send them out. This was a supper easy card to make and I especially like the color of the ornament-I wanted something that would "pop" off the card and I think the yellow does just that.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Wednesday!

Today's card i inspired by today's holiday. I created a monochromatic (that means all in one particuliar color) card all in green. Green is my son's favorite color, so he loved this card. I hope you do too!
The stamp is by Stampedous and I colored it in using PrismaColor Coloed Pencils. I also used Ranger's Inkssential's Glossy Accent to add a bit of dimension.

Happy March 1st - Spring is coming....
Good Morning all and Happy Mrach 1st!
I can not believe that it's March already. This year is zooming by and I am so looking forward to Spring. Here in NYC, we have had quite a bit of snow and I am just about all snowed out. I want to see the pretty flowers and butterflies!
Today's card is inspired by the spring and flowers. I used a great flower stamp by Stampenous as the focal point of the card. I colored it in using PrismaColor Colored Pencils and then added a layer of Inkessentials Glossy Accents to the edges of each petal. I love the shine and dimension it gives. This Glossy Accents is my NEW favorite thing now...LOL!
I hope you like the card ad I hope it inspires you to get your flower stamps out and get to stamping. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello all-
HAPPY MONDAY! HAPPY MONDAY! HAPPY MONDAY
Today's card is a card that I am entering into a Caardvarks Challenge. When you get a chance, head on over there - www.caardcarks.com and checkout their site. It is AWESOME. All I ask is that you get a cup of coffee and a snack because you are going to be on it forever! It's a great blog chock full of great stuff.
My card measures 4.25 x 5.5 and the 2nd layer is a quarter inch smaller. I used a HeroArts Block Stamp - Trio Heart Border C3025 as the background. Next I stamped that same image, colored it with my PrismaColor Colored Pencils and cut them out. I added foam dots and adhered them to the 2nd layer of the card. I also used HeroArts Clear Design Stamp Hugs and Hearts CL301 and stamped the word sentiment LOVE in red. I hope you like it! I love the striking look the red hearts give to the background!

Let the CARD be the FOCUS...
Hello everyone and HAPPY TUESDAY!!!
Today's card I love making because I got to one of my favorite things - COLOR!!! I remember being a little girl coloring in my coloring books. I took it soooo seriously. Outlining the image with a dark line, and then coloring the inside with that same color, but very softly...you know, so the image would sort of pop! Well, at that time, I had no idea that I was training myself for bigger and better things -CARD MAKING & PAPER CRAFTING!!
This card that I created I did not put a word sentiment. I left it blank so that the embellishments and layers would totally be the focus. I colored the owl in using my PrismaColor Colored Pencils - love them!
I hope you like the card and that it inspires you to create a card where your design is the focus!
Thanks for stopping by!

3D Card - WHAT's UP?

I am so glad/sad that today is Friday. I am glad because it is the beginning of the long Labor Day weekend. But I am sad because it is a reminder that summer is over. But then I am glad again because school starts next week and all my kids will be in school and I will be FREE!!! WooHoo! It's all so bitter sweet...ROFL!
Okay, to the fun stuff. Here is my card to end the week. It is my all-time FAVORITE STAMP now. It's the Balancing Owls by HeroArts H5144. I stamped the image and colored it in. Cut it out and added foam dots to give it the 3D look. I used my Cricut to cut out a "BLAST" shape and I stamped the word sentiment on that. I also used my Cricut to cut out the grass. I curled the edges to add dimension. To give it some interest, I used Time Holt's Distresss Ink - I used the Peeled Paint first and used Vintage Photo around the edges. I added foam dots to this also.
I hope you like the card. It was so much fun to make. I hope that you have a great weekend and Labor Day!

Happy Hump Day! I have a great card to show you today. This card is a birthday card that I made for a friend. This card was so much fun to make because it involves smething that we all love to do - COLOR!!!! I stamped the flower image and then colored in the flowers using PRISMA COLOR Colored Pencils. After coloring in the image, I used GAMSOL to help smooth out and blend the color in. I loved the way it came out because the card looks so bright and cheerful!

You Make My World Happy!

I hope that you had a great weekend and had an opportunity to get some crafting done. I was able to get a good amount of cards made as well as get some projects started. So, with that being said, I am feeling great! I am off to a good start this week.
I don't have a theme for this week as yet, but I do have a great card that I am proud of that I made. I used quite a bit of different techniques. I stamped an image onto pattern paper (the tag in the card was covered with paper and then I stamped on it). I also distressed the tag before I stamped the image. And one of the last techiques I used was using PrismaColor Coloring Pencils to color in the owls and then using Gamsol (OMS-Odorless Mineral Spirit) to help create shading and dimension.
Well, now that you know what I did, get crackin' to making this card!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Kimba :)
HOW-TO Instructions
Step 1: Base Card measures 5 x 6.5 (white)
Step 2: 2nd Layer measures 4.75 x 6.25 (brown) - attach this to base card
Step 3: Cut a strip of Rust Orange paper measuring .75 x 4.75 - attach this to the brown cardstock
Step 4:Next, get your tag out. Put a good amount of adhesive on the FRONT of the tag. After you have done this, place the tag ADHESIVE SIDE DOWN on the pattern paper. Press down on the tag to make sure the tag is sticking to the paper. Cut around the tag and then using your whole punch, punch the hole out at the top of the tag.
Step 5: Use Tim Holtz's PEELED PAINT Distressing ink to distress the front of the tag. Once you have the desired look you want, using Stampin' Up's Chocolate Chip Ink, stamp the LONG BRANCH image onto the tag. Thread ribbon thru hole, set aside.
Step 6: Stamp out your owls using black ink and color the owls. Add "googlie eyes" to the owls. Set aside
Step 7: Layer Prima Flowers - Green then white and next add button to the center. Set aside
Step 8: Using that same pattern paper and the Peeled Paint Dstressing ink, distress a small section of the paper - this portion of the paper will be used for you to stamp your word sentiment on. After stamping, punch image out
Step 9: Build the card according to picture above. PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE FOAM DOTS behind the Balancing Owls

OVAL CARD

Here is an OVAL Card that I created. Again, I used my Coluzzle Oval shape template to cut the base of the card. The Cupcake was a stamp that I got from Michael's $1 bin. I colored the cupcake using my Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils. The stamped sentiment is from HeroArts Thank You Messages. I attached both the cupcake and word sentiment using foam adhesive.
I hope you enjoyed the card and thanks again for stopping by!
