St. Patty's Day Card!!!

Hey everyone!

Happy Hump Day!!!

The card that I am posting today, is a St.Patty's Day card that I created. I am especially proud of this card b/c I had to really put on my "thinking cap" in order to create the Shamrock. I did not have a Shamrock stamp, so I created it by using my HeroArts Heart stamp. I stamped this 6 times using Versamark Ink and heat embossed it. I put foam dots on the petals to give dimension (see 2nd pic of the side view) I used a ribbon for the stem and HeroArts Alphabet Letters to create the sentiment. I love the way it came out. I hope yu like it too.

CAARDVARKS Challenge! - Wedding Card Publication #5

Hello all-

LAST, but NOT LEAST is the final wedding card submission. THIS card is my favorite and I had the most fun making because I used Tim Holtz's Distress Inks. I am lovin' distressing now. I tell my kids they better watch out or I'll distress them...LOL!!!

I stamped the wedding image w/VersaMark in and then heat embossed it using BLACK OPAGUE embossing powder. I just LOVE this look because the image came out so clear, dark, and shiny. I tore the edges of both the wedding image and word sentiment and distressed both of them. I FIRST used WORN LIPSTICK and then on top of that, I used VINTAGE PHOTO. I added foam dots to that to adhere it to the tag.

Now the tag, I embossed using my CuttleBug using the TEXTILE folder and then used the same two distress inks on it. The 3rd layer (PINK CARDSTOCK) I used my HEIDI SWAPP EDGE DISTRESS tool and distress the edges, and then swiped it using VINTAGE PHOTO ink, I attached that using foam dots.

Again...I hope you enjoyed seeing my wedding submissions.

Thanks SO VERY much for always stopping by!

PS - I lost my camera, so I am scanning all of my cards. I hope that youare able to see them clearly. The flower (focal point of card) I adhered using foam dots. The black background was also embossing using the Swiss Dots folder.

Sending Love Your Way

Hey everybody -

Yesterday, here in NYC we had a really bad snow storm. It started Tuesday evening at around 11pm and snowed literally all day Wednesday. The Mayor here closed the schools because of the storm - but it was good for me because I got to make cards and layouts - Yay!

I created a Valentine's Day card for my hubby. This is one of the 5 cards that he gets ....I know...we've been giving each other 5 cards for as long as we've been together (it's been 19 years) because when we try and get cards, we see so many cards that would be so fitting for us that we just get them and it always ends up being 5 cards...

Anyway, here's my card. I created a base card in brown and then distressed a tag using Tim Holtz's Distress Inks - Peeled Paint, Broken China, and Vintage Photo. Next, I used Tim Holtz's Mini Mask Floret and masked off a flourish. I sparyed the tag w/my Mini Mister and it created a splatter-like image on tag. Wrapped it in twine to give it that Masculine feel. I hope you like it.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

See The Flowers Smiling

Hello all & Happy Monday!

I know that some of you are football fans and may have watched the Super Bowl yesterday....and I am hoping that you enjoyed yourself as well as made a little time for crafting too!

Here is my card for today. It is part of a weekly acrd challenge at Heroarts.com. The theme is flowers and being BOLD. I love this card because the colors are just that - BRIGHT & BOLD. I used my PrismaColor Colored Pencils to color in the flowers and added foam dots to the 2nd and 4th flower. I hope that you like it and that it inspires you to start making some BOLD, BRIGHT Valentine's Day Cards for your love ones.
