Happy Birthday

Hello all-

Today's card is another Happy Birthday card. What I have learned from making these Happy Birthday cards is that this is a card that I always need to have pre-made and ready to send. This way, when someone birthday comes, I am seconds away from signing it and sending it!

Today's card I used the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment as a background stamp. I stamped the words in different colors to make it fun and cheery! I used HeroArts Big Candles as the focal point of the cards. I colored them I and then added foam dots to add dimension. As always, thanks for stopping by and remember that the How-To instructions are below so have some fun creating this card!

HOW-TO Instructions

Step 1: Base measures 4.25 x 5.5
Step 2: 2nd layer measures 4 x 5.25 - WHITE - stamp the HAPPY BIRTHDAY word sentiment in different colors. Adhere to Base card.
Step 3: Stamp the candles. Color them . Cut them out and adhere using foam dots.

Caardvarks MONOCHROMATIC Challenge - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Hello all & Happy Monday!

I hope that you all had an enjoyable weekend! I am finally back after a long weekend off. I was under the weather and busy at the same time, but the good thing is that I am back and I have been back in my craft room creating.

Today's card is for a challenge that I am entering. The challenege was to create a Monochromatic card ( that means a card in one color or shades of that specific color - all blue, all red, etc) with any theme. My card is a Happy Birthday card. My new favorite tool or thing to use is this Inkssential Glossy Accents. It's a clear, 3 dimensional glass medium that gives a shine to whatever you put it on. This is what I did to the cupcakes on the card. This is a great tool to have in your arsenal because you can make all your embellishments 3D and it dries fairly quickly.

I hope that you like the card and fingers crossed that I get selected as the winner! thanks for stopping by!
