HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!

Hey! Hey! Hey!
I you all are enjoying your Labor Day today! My family and I are headed out to a BBQ right now, so I am going to make this post short & sweet!

Here is a card that I created as part of a challenge. The challenge was creating Masculine cards. Here is my take on it. I hope that you like it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Labor Day!

Kimba :)
PS - The cloud stamp had a word sentiment right smack in the center. In the HOW-TO below, I will explain how I was able to stamp the clouds W/OUT the words. You will look at your stamps in a new light!

HOW-TO Instructions
Step 1: Base card measures 4.25 x 5.5 - Beige
Step 2: Punch out Scallop Edge 3 TIMES using 3 different colored Blue Cardstock. This is to create the waves/water look
Step 3: Stamp BOAT on Beige cardstock. Stamp boat on TWO different orange colored paper/cardstock. Cut out the sail from one of the orange pieces of paper and the base of the boat from the other. Glue the sail and base to the ORIGINAL boat that was stamped on the Beige cardstock. Add foam dots. Set aside.
Step 4: Stamp the CLOUDS - MAKE SURE ONCE YOU STAMP THE CLOUD IMAGE, WITH A BABY WIPE, CAREFULLY WIPE AWAY THE WORD SENTIMENT SO THAT YOU ARE LEFT WITH JUST THE CLOUD. Cut them out. Add foam dots. Set aside.
Step 5: Stamp PLANE on orange cardstock. Cut out and add foam dots. Set aside.
Step 6: Stamp the WORD SENTIMENT and attach a piece if orange string to the top of it. Set aside.
Step 7: Build card!

3D Card - WHAT's UP?

Happy Friday!!!
I am so glad/sad that today is Friday. I am glad because it is the beginning of the long Labor Day weekend. But I am sad because it is a reminder that summer is over. But then I am glad again because school starts next week and all my kids will be in school and I will be FREE!!! WooHoo! It's all so bitter sweet...ROFL!

Okay, to the fun stuff. Here is my card to end the week. It is my all-time FAVORITE STAMP now. It's the Balancing Owls by HeroArts H5144. I stamped the image and colored it in. Cut it out and added foam dots to give it the 3D look. I used my Cricut to cut out a "BLAST" shape and I stamped the word sentiment on that. I also used my Cricut to cut out the grass. I curled the edges to add dimension. To give it some interest, I used Time Holt's Distresss Ink - I used the Peeled Paint first and used Vintage Photo around the edges. I added foam dots to this also.

I hope you like the card. It was so much fun to make. I hope that you have a great weekend and Labor Day!

3D Card - HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hello All-

Here is today's 3D Card. I hope you like it. I colored the Birthday Candles and I love that they are BIG & BOLD! I colored in the candles using PrismaColor Colored Pencils. I smooth out the look using Gamsol. Next, I colored in the "flame" part of the candle using Martha Stewart's Glitter Markers. I stamped the candles on white cardstock and then cut them out and added foam dots to have them pop off the card.

Oh yes...one other tool I used on this card was I used my Scor-Pal in creating the lines on the top of the card.

Thanks for stopping by!
Kimba :)

HOW-TO Instructions
Step 1: Base Card measures 4.25 x 5.5 - Run a little more than half of the card thru the CuttleBug using the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. The top half of the card, create score lines. This adds interest to the overall look of the card.
Step 2: Stamp Big Birthday Candles on white cardstock and then color in with PrismaColor Colored Pencils. Color the flames with Martha Stewart's Glitter Markers. Cut candles and flames out.
Step 3: Adhere the candles and flames to the card using foam dots
Step 4: Stamp word sentiment on white cardstock and then cut it out. Adhere to card.
