Journal #2

Hello all -
Here is the first journal that I made using the glue. You are not able to see it, but the covers are slightly bent. I solved this problem by putting the covers between two large telephone books and then topped with a 20 lbs. weight.

Please, leave comments and let me know what you think. If you are interested in the measurements, please, let me know. I used Marcella 3D stickers that just so happened to go with the Anna Griffin paper I used. In any case, enjoy!

Happy Monday all!

Hello all -

Today I have something new for you. I created a Chipboard Album and I think that it came out pretty nice. I made it for my sister whose birthday is today. She loves journals...especially handmade ones. So, take a look at it and let me know what you think. One thing that I did learn...using glue warps the chipboard, so when I made this one for her, I used a really strong adhesive & glue dots. Now, i am not sure if the "warp" came from the type of glue I used, but I prefer the adhesive.

HAVE A JOLLY HOLIDAY!

Hey all....

Happy Monday!!! I am still in the mad dash mood trying to get all my shopping done by Thursday..so this is going to be a quick post.

This card I love because I used one of my favorite color combos - Red, Black, & White. The center image is from HeroArts Nature's Silhouettes. I used VersaMark ink and then put Opague White embossing powder on it and heat set it. I just love the way it came out. I am not sure if you can see it and if the scanner picks it up, but on the lower left hand corner, above the word sentiment, I punched out a snowflake and then used some Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter on it.

So much for the short post huh?...LOL!
Thanks for stopping by!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Hello all-
I still can't believe that in 10 days it will be Christmas. Where did the time go? Does anybody else feel that way too? I am very excited about this holiday because my youngest daughter Logan who is three, is totally understanding Christmas. She loves the lights and the tree and all the shiny stuff that comes with this time of year. She even has a list that she made for Santa and everyday she says, " Momma, I was nice today; not naughty so tell Santa"....how cute is she?

Well, today's card is just as sweet as my Logan. It has one of her favorite colors (PINK) on the card. This was a super simple card to make - pattern paper, stamped image, some foam adhesive and a word sentiment - you can't get any easier.
I hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by!

Merriest Wishes

Hello everyone....
I know, I know....it's been a longgggg time. Alot of things have been going on from me losing my camera at Radion City Music Hall at their Christmas Show, to my laptop dying, and then my scanner dying as well. When it rains...it pours! So, I guess you know what I have on my list to Santa....a new digital camera, new scanner, and new laptop....not in that order...LOL! I was able to borrow a scanner from a friend who has two, but boy, scanning a card is so different from actually taking a picture. You lose the dimension and charater of the card. But in any case, I decided to scan all the cards that I have been creating and when Santa brings me my new camera on the 25th, I will take all new photos....I have been a very "nice" girl this year...(wink)

Here's my card for today. I hope you like. I would love to hear and see all the projects and card you have been making lately. Thanks again for stopping by!!!

So, with all this said, I want to thank all my loyal follower for their contiued support of my blog. I ask that you hang on in there with me til the 11th because I have over 30 cards to upload w/instructions for you - I continued to create dispite all the craziness!

3D Card - WHAT's UP?

Happy Friday!!!
I am so glad/sad that today is Friday. I am glad because it is the beginning of the long Labor Day weekend. But I am sad because it is a reminder that summer is over. But then I am glad again because school starts next week and all my kids will be in school and I will be FREE!!! WooHoo! It's all so bitter sweet...ROFL!

I curled the edges to add dimension. To give it some interest, I used Time Holt's Distresss Ink - I used the Peeled Paint first and used Vintage Photo around the edges. I added foam dots to this also.

I hope you like the card. It was so much fun to make. I hope that you have a great weekend and Labor Day!

Enjoy Every Moment

Hello All...
As you all know, this is SENTIMENT Week. I am continuing to focus on the words and what I say in my cards just as much as the style and look. I am excited to show you this card today because I made if for someone so that they could give it to a friend who hit their 5 year mark of being Cancer Free. She gave me the colors and told me that she wanted it to be simple in it's design, but bold with style of card. She also requested a sentiment that was heartfelt but straight to the point. This is what I came up with and let me tell you, she was very please.

I hope you like the card. Focusing on the sentiments on the cards has helped me to remember all the people who I need to send cards to JUST BECAUSE...

I hope that you feel inspired by this cards and the cards for this week. Thanks so much for stopping by!

INTERNET was down...BUT all is well now!

Good morning friends....

I hope that you all had a great weekend, because my was pretty eventful. Not so sure if you noticed, but last post to the blog was Tuesday. My internet was down not one, not two, not threee, but for five days. I was unable to get on and I had to call the cable technitions and they had to take out my internet and then re-install it. Yep! Yep! It was something else to say the least.

But, not that I am up and running, I plan on posting the other Scrapbook Layout and companion cards as well as this weeks theme.

Well, I got lots to do...so let me get started. I do want to say a BIG THANKS to all of you who come by and visit my blog each day. AGAIN, I apologize for the technical difficulties, and hopefully it won't happen again...at least...no time soon! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!

Green, Pink, & Orange

Hello all-
Here is a Scrapbook Layout that I created using the colors Green, Pink, & Orange. I also used some rubber stamping in the following areas of the layout: the vertical journaling "There's no one like you" is a rubber stamp from HeroArts. The circles that are stamped on the orange & yellow squares, is also a HeroArts Block Stamp. And lastly, the journaling that is below Logan's name comes from several rubber stamps.

I hope that this layout will inspire you to incorporate some stamping on a layout.

Green, Pink, & Orange Card

Here is a card that created that is a companion to the layout. I used the same color scheme as the layout. This card was very easy. I cut orange and yellow strips and adhered them to the base card. Stamped the circl border on white cardstock and then punched out random areas on the border using a circle punch. Adhered them using foam dots. Samped the sentiment, punched out a butterfly and you're ALL DONE!

Thanks for stopping by...again!
